It's one of the most memorable, beautiful, gut-wrenching death scenes in the show's history, and certainly for so relatively minor a character, as if the storytellers were trying to make up in death for the grandeur Wyllis was denied in life.
Tonight's aptly- (and poignantly-) titled fifth episode, in which we see the origin story of the White Walkers, and how the good-natured Winterfell stableboy Wylis became Hodor. It is brilliant and at the same time so simple - and so heartbreaking.
"The Door," continues last week's trend of feeling as if it's offering up some major, important answers on the show's mythos. And many of those revelations impact some of the show's most major characters (even more major than Hodor - sorry, Hodor).
