Driving by his greedy, the evil king, Ooo, who seeks to make what will be good for his own behalf, disregarding the benefit of Candy kingdom's people, the thing that leads the former princess Bubblegum to return from her exile, in order to solve the case and save the lives of people, by getting rid of that evil king.
Adventure Time has always been about finding family and beauty in the candy-coated apocalyptic decay of Ooo, and about the deep sadness that often accompanies isolation, and those themes are more pronounced than ever.
The sprawl of this series after seven seasons is the main reason why I was nervous about a potential reboot, and I'm excited to see which faces will be returning.
Is Adventure Time the best coming-of-age story of our time? It's certainly the best TV version of that perpetually popular theme, and it stacks up incredibly well against stories in other media as well.
