Directors Rob LaDuca and Robert Ramirez provide a different experience for Joseph, who has a mysterious talent. Joseph experiences his experience differently, but he is exposed to a mysterious situation where he is withdrawn to the illegal trafficking in human beings by his brothers. After saving the Egyptian pharaoh, Joseph's life is largely transformed into affluence.
Once one stops making unfair comparisons to a theatrical film made on a much bigger budget, Joseph: King of Dreams is worthwhile on its own more modest terms.
... fails to bring Joseph and his brothers to life the way Moses and Rameses came to life in The Prince of Egypt. Sappy, run-of-the-mill songs drown out any subtleties.
